I have swallowed my pride and made a Substack. I hate social media, but I see that site as more of a blogging platform similar to Blogspot. (Anyone remember using it?) The main reason I created it is because I wanted more people to read my work and you need to go where the people are. I don't know how successful my efforts will be in the long run, though. Most of the time it just feels like I'm screaming into the void. If you stumbled upon my work and enjoyed it, then please share it with your friends. It would be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE 02/04/2026: I just deleted my Substack after learning that the whole site suffered a security breach. That's no skin off my back because I stopped using that site last year back in June. The first reason is that it was too much work for too little reward. I grew to hate how I would work for hours on a post only to receive two likes at the most. The second reason is disagreements with the site's direction. It's obvious that those in charge care more about working on their F-tier Twitter clone (Notes) than they do about optimizing the site or promoting fiction. The third reason is that the site has degraded into slop. There's almost nothing worthwhile on there anymore. It's all A.I. garbage now. I'll go back to focusing on my personal web site. I also have a Twitter account if you're interested in following me on there. As for my future plans, I intend to publish my first novel on Royal Road, so stay tuned.
